One can easily visualize the great river of gasoline required to keep our highways flowing with gas guzzling automobiles.
There is an alternative but how do we get it in action.
First the ALTERNATIVE
Can it not be electricity?
Created from the least expensive energy forms available.
What are these energies?
Surely we do not have to "re-invent the wheel" to prove the answers.
One energy form, which should not be overlooked, is with our wastes; often piled to rot and become toxic or
incinerated which adds to water, and air problems.
A real alternative is to convert these wastes back to their original elements of carbon and hydrogen gases. This can be done inexpensively to create energy (one tonne of MSW = two barrels of oil )
Let us remove the blindfolds of understanding CO2, a gas derived from combustion of fuels having carbon as the main element. --- CO2 is not the problem! ---
One problem is:
the dust particles in the atmosphere, often lifted because of poorly engineered combustion components. --- The gas CO2 is heavier than air and many other gases ( How could CO2, without the dust particles keep suspended in the atmosphere above the other lighter gases and air? )
CO2 can be our friend, necessary for the growth of plant life.
